Now for the BIG announcement! The Amber Grant is BACK! We  are accepting applications for The Amber Grant through October 31st, 2008! If you have applied for a previous Amber Grant and did not win, you MUST resubmit your application.

Contrary to what you might have seen on those late night TV commercials - grants are NOT that easy to come by. The first step is finding a grant that you qualify for - but the second part is the killer and where most grant seekers fail - completing the application process!

If your grant proposal is not complete and accurate according to the grantor’s specific guidelines - you won’t make it past the first qualifying round!

Here are a few tips for writing your grant proposal:

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Womensnet Network has expanded it’s family of entrepreneurial focused sites with it’s latest offering - WomensnetOnline.com, a social & business networking site for women in business.

According to Melody Wigdahl, the 53 year old founder, “WomensnetOnline is a Facebook or MySpace for the self-employed woman, who is typically more concerned with making business contacts rather than building a huge ‘friends’ list. Our priorities are a bit different - and we want something that is more targeted, where we canmaximize our time online with useful networking rather than filtering out the biz opp spam.”WomensnetOnline launched in early February, and has seen the membership blossom to almost 2500 members, mostly by word of mouth.

After years of doing grant research - I am on quite a number of grant and foundation mailing lists, so every week we will be posting the latest grants news that we get.

Most of these grants will be for the arts, medical research, community development and other ‘not for profit’ areas. However, in many cases even a ‘for profit’ business may have aspects that would fit the parameters for the funding requirements.
