Facebook For Us Grown-Ups? Marketing Your Business on FaceBook!

By admin • May 31st, 2008

If you are a parent you no doubt know all about Facebook - it was the school-aged only version of MySpace for most it’s young life - a haven for the kids because you could only get in if you had an email address from your school, which that snooping (translated: caring and concerned parents) were pretty much locked out.

But that has changed recently as Facebook has now morphed into a wide open Social Networking site for anyone and everyone, and unlike MySpace - FaceBook is VERY business friendly!

Mark Joyner Launches Blogging Course

By admin • May 29th, 2008

If you have been involved in internet marketing at all - you have to recognize the name Mark Joyner. He is considered by most to be the ‘father’ of Internet Marketing, and has launched more successful products than I can count (my bookshelf in the office here has more than a few of his books!) and has probably mentored more successful online ‘gurus’ than anyone else. Joyner is indeed a true web success story.

So I have to admit that I was more than surprised to see him admit that he just never ‘got’ the whole blog thing - and in spite of that - he is launching a new course on blogging! Now his company, Simpleology, is launching a course on blogging!

Blogging & Adsense: How To Make Money Blogging!

By admin • May 26th, 2008

Adsense is a pay per click advertising program that allows webmasters to earn money from ads placed on their sites. The system is owned and operated by the ‘King of the Search Engines’ Google.

Since Google wants to keep it’s advertisers happy - and spending money - it’s imperative that the sites that show these ads are of high “value” to the visitor - meaning that the content should be by humans - and of interest to humans!

I use adwords for my biz, www.giftrack.biz, I’m not getting the traffic I want but have no more money?

By admin • May 10th, 2008

jfries50 asked:

I have been using adwords for sometime and have never seen the results I would like to. I am a very small business and my cash flow for advertising is tapped out till after 1st quarter 2008. I have my adwords ads running using pretty cheap keywords and a pretty low budget. I know raising my budget would help but again no more money…..

I need to know what are the best free ways to market this site or how to use adwords more effectivly on a super low budget?

Thanks All

The WomensNet Network Announces New Amber Grant Competition and Launches WomensnetOnline - A Social & Business Network for Women Entrepreneurs

By admin • May 3rd, 2008

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Womensnet Network has expanded it’s family of entrepreneurial focused sites with it’s latest offering - WomensnetOnline.com, a social & business networking site for women in business.

According to Melody Wigdahl, the 53 year old founder, “WomensnetOnline is a Facebook or MySpace for the self-employed woman, who is typically more concerned with making business contacts rather than building a huge ‘friends’ list. Our priorities are a bit different - and we want something that is more targeted, where we canmaximize our time online with useful networking rather than filtering out the biz opp spam.”WomensnetOnline launched in early February, and has seen the membership blossom to almost 2500 members, mostly by word of mouth.

The Law of Attraction (LOA) & Its Role in Reaching New Sales

By admin • Dec 16th, 2007

A note from the Netlady…..I know that there is a lot of hype about the law of Attraction (LOA for short) but I can tell you from profound personal experience that you can change your life by changing the way you think. I cannot tell you if it’s quantum physics (thoughts have substance) or simply self-empowerment (you are what you believe you are!), but I can tell you that it WORKS..and when it comes right down to it - isn’t that really all that matters? The following article was written by a guy - but I liked and didn’t think anyone would mind if I posted it!!

YOU Could Be Featured Here!

By admin • Dec 1st, 2007

Have your own business? Want to tell everyone about it? Here’s your chance for your “15 Minutes of Fame” - if you are old enough to remember Andy Warhol you will know what I mean but if not - that’s okay too!

Send us your press release, personal story, a good long blurb - whatever it takes to make someone want to visit your website, drop by your store or give you a call! Include some pics if you want - you, your product or your dog (if that makes sense to you). You are free to send as much or as little info as you want - although it would be gooder to be longer, of course!

Tony Cox Community Fund (Health/AIDS)

By admin • Nov 29th, 2007

After years of doing grant research - I am on quite a number of grant and foundation mailing lists, so every week we will be posting the latest grants news that we get.

Most of these grants will be for the arts, medical research, community development and other ‘not for profit’ areas. However, in many cases even a ‘for profit’ business may have aspects that would fit the parameters for the funding requirements.

Be sure to check the main WomensNet site for more grant information and other funding resources: Grants and Funding Resources for Women Owned Business
